The whole building grows into a holy temple, and the believer is built in as a habitation of God through the Spirit.
The Sanctuary CommandedOld Testament
“And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.”
(KJV)
Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them — the desire to dwell with His people is original, not late.
Honor God with your body and mind today, remembering that you are His sacred, living temple.
Passage:
Focus: Dwell on the ownership declaration in verse 20: "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body."
Ask yourself: What do you do with your body that you would not do if you were standing in a sanctuary? Name one, and start there — not out of shame, but because it belongs to Someone.
Holy Father, my body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in me, and I am not my own. Cleanse this temple by Your Spirit of holiness and let my life glorify You today. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, who bought me with a price. Amen.
