מוּר (mur) — Verb
From the Hebrew מוּר (mur), meaning to change, exchange, or substitute one thing for another. Verbal force: The niphal here is passive — the earth being changed, acted upon by something else. The image is not decay but removal and replacement. Theological depth: Scripture regularly establishes confidence by naming the maximum loss rather than avoiding it. Assurance that survives the imagined worst case is the only kind that holds in the actual one.
