“Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.”
(KJV)
The oldest book in the canon already has the shape of it: someone speaks for the condemned man, and the ground of the pleading is I have found a ransom.

Focus: Ponder Christ’s eternal, uninterrupted priestly intercession for you.
Ask yourself: After you fail, what is your first instinct — to hide from God until you feel better, or to go straight to the One who is already speaking for you? Notice which pattern your last week actually followed.
Holy Father, when I sin I have an Advocate with You. Let Your Comforter point me to that intercession rather than to despair, and keep me from using grace as licence. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ the righteous. Amen.
