“For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.”
(KJV)
Sold for nothing and bought back without silver, which is exactly Peter's point: the ransom was not corruptible things such as silver and gold.
Live as one who has been bought with an infinite price.
Passage:
Focus: Consider the infinite value of the blood shed for your liberation.
Ask yourself: If someone paid a great sum to free you, you would think about it often. How often do you actually think about what your freedom cost — and what does the honest answer tell you?
God of all grace, my freedom cost the precious blood of Your Son, not silver or gold. Keep me mindful of that price by Your Holy Spirit, that I might glorify You today in body and spirit. In the name of the Lord Jesus, the Lamb without blemish. Amen.
